POLICE are appealing for information after burglars stole £35,000 of stock from a shop.

The incident, at Currys in Gallaher Retail Park, Crossways, Caerphilly, took place overnight between 8pm on January 30 and 6.50am on January 31.

It is believed that five unknown offenders have removed part of the brick wall at the back of the store and entered the shop, taking mobile phones, laptops, smart watches and tablets. Damage was also caused to the interior of the shop and tills.

PC Stuart Lewis said: “We are now investigating the burglary and are appealing for information from anyone who may have any information about the incident or those involved.

“We are also reminding those tempted into purchasing stolen goods at a reduced price are breaking the law. If you are knowingly buying stolen items, you are committing an offence of handling stolen goods.
