We have two beautiful girls as Dog of the Week!

Mel is a labrador mix, and she was found abandoned along with Sue, a beautiful light brindle lurcher. The staff at the centre are fairly sure that the girls are mother and daughter, and although they were very anxious and disorientated when they arrived at Newport City Dogs Home they are both settling in well, and are ready to find new homes. Mel is a gentle, friendly girl, and she should make a wonderful family pet for the right household. Sue is more playful and adventurous than her mum, and although she is a little overweight she is loving her new exercise regime and enjoys her walks with the volunteers.

Newport City Dogs Home don't do 'Buy One Get One Free' but the staff will consider rehoming Mel and Sue as a pair if someone wanted an instant 'dog family'! They will also consider rehoming the girls separately, and if the chemistry is right both Mel and Sue could live with other dogs in the household.

If you'd like to meet any of the dogs for rehoming in Newport City Dogs Home please contact the staff on 01633 290902 or pop in for a chat. No appointment needed!
