ATTEMPTS are being made to find this man following an attack which left the victim with serious injuries.
The incident happened outside the Sen BBQ premises Chepstow Road, in Newport, on December 22 at about 9.20pm.
The attacker knocked out his victim then left the scene, police have said.
Officers say they think the man pictured was in the area at that time, and could help them with their enquires.
A Gwent Police spokesman added: "Officers are now appealing for information to identify the man pictured in this CCTV image. He was in the area at the time of the incident, and we believe he could help with our enquiries.
"If you know the identity of the man in the picture or witnesses the events of that evening, please call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 562 of 22/12/18, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Members of the public can also direct message us on Facebook or Twitter."
