A SHOCKING video has emerged of a terrifying late night hit-and-run on a quiet residential street.

The footage shows a stolen car that looks to be speeding down Bedwellty Road, Blackwood, in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Mini smashes into a parked car, pushing it up onto the pavement into some bins.

Spun off the parked car by the sheer force of the impact, the Mini then comes to a rest on the other side of the road, facing the way it came.

Hazard lights can be seen flashing on both cars as the alarms were set off by the crash.

After a while, the seemingly dazed driver climbs out of the window and running off down the street with his hood up.

The owners of the parked car, who asked not to be named, told the South Wales Argus it had since been written off.

Their CCTV footage has been shown to the police.
