STAFF from Melin Homes are finding fun and creative ways to raise money for the housing association’s chosen charity.

This year they are supporting St David’s Hospice Care, by sponsoring and taking part in numerous popular events including the Pontypool 10k, the Kolor Dash and the Dalmatian bike ride.

Staff will also hold charity breakfasts, quiz nights, raffles, cake bake offs and more.

Paula Kennedy, chief executive of Melin Homes, said: “Many people have experienced the loss of a relative or friend who had a life-limiting condition and I’ve heard first-hand about how excellent the care that St David’s gives.

“As a charity they can’t do this great work without the continued need to fundraise and we want to go the extra mile to support them through 2019.”

The Pontypool 10k Home Run for St David’s Hospice takes place on February 24.

Now in its ninth year, the Pontypool 10k Home Run follows a scenic course starting and finishing in Pontypool Park. The event is close to full, so register now on St David’s Hospice website.
