THE RIVERFRONT Theatre is launching the CUPPA Project tomorrow at 10am.

The project, run by St Woolos Rotary Club in conjunction with Newport Live is to combat loneliness.

They have invited people to join together for a hot drink and a chat on a regular basis at Riverfront Theatre’s café every Tuesday between 10am and 1pm.

On February 16,there will be hilarious Comedy Club for kids, from 2pm, suitable for 6+ Tickets are £8 or £28 for a family of four.

On February 19, there will be a Battalion Concert from 6.30pm. As part of The Riverfront’s Commemoration Programme, Pillgwenlly Primary School will perform an evening of music and drama reflecting on WWI. Tickets are £5, £3 concessions.

On February 22, there will be The Johnny Cash Roadshow from 7.30pm. This show, endorsed by the Cash family, features respected singer Clive John, singing hit after hit, accompanied by evocative screen images. Tickets are £23.50 or concessions on £22,

February 22 will also host Comedy Shed, a relaxed cabaret-style comedy club featuring professional comedians. Guests welcome from 7.45pm with the first act at 8.15pm. Tickets are £13.

On February 26, Wow Women’s Film Club presents a free screening of Mirai (PG), from 10am, in Riverfront Studio. Book your free place.

On February 27, Arrtduo are hosting a free fused glass workshop from 11am to 3pm. Make a glass panel to display and keep, with tools, materials and instruction will be provided. This workshop is suitable for 8+ but under 16s must be supervised. Places limited, so booking advised.

On February 28, the critically acclaimed A Hundred Words for Snow will be performed from 2pm. This show features explorer, Rory, on an expedition to get to the North Pole, before Mum finds out she’s gone. The Stage described it as “warm, witty and wonderful.” Tickets are £8 or £30 for a group of four.
