PEOPLE across Gwent are being invited by the area's health board to get involved in discussions about NHS services in the area.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is running a series of meetings under the banner 'Talk Health - Your Voice Matters' which are intended to provide an opportunity to find out more about plans for services, and to discuss, services in Gwent.

Health board experts will also provide updates on women and children’s services in Gwent, and on the imminent introduction of the 111 service, a non-emergency helpline service that will provide a single point of contact for GP out-of-hours and NHS Direct Wales.

A meeting has already been held at St Mary's Priory in Abergavenny, and further meetings are planned for:

Thursday February 21 - Shire Hall, Monmouth, 5pm-7.30pm;

Thursday February 28 - Pontypool Active Living Centre, 5pm-7.30pm;

Tuesday March 5 - Llanhilleth Institute, 5pm-7.30pm;

Tuesday March 19 - Lysaghts Institute, Newport, 5pm-7.30pm;

Tuesday April 2 - Tabernacle Baptist Church, Newbridge, 2pm-4.30pm.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register by e-mailing Adele.Skinner@wales.nhs.uk or by telephoning 01633 435908.
