THE CANCELLED under 18s night at Ikonic nightclub will instead be held at Hardy Hall, in Little Lever.

The event was cancelled due to a "technical issue" around half an hour before it was due to take place.

It led to around 100 teenagers being stranded in Nelson Square, with an eyewitness saying that they were drinking and taking drugs.

Ticket-holders have been invited to a rescheduled event at Hardy Hall, in Church Street, in Little Lever tonight.

Doors are set to open at 7pm and the event organisers have promised unlimited drinks for anybody who attends.

The organisers have also said refunds will be offered to anybody who cannot attend the new event.

A spokesman for the event said: "We sincerely apologise for tonight's event having to be postponed, this decision was not made lightly.

"The fault doesn't lie with the venue or us as promotors.

"We have moved the event to Wednesday February 20, at Hardy Hall, from 7pm to 10.30pm.

"Anyone who has purchased tickets will be allowed into the event, including the ones purchased online through Skiddle.

"For anyone who isn't able to attend a full refund will be issued without question after our event has taken place at Hardy Hall.

"Anyone who has purchased online and isn't able to attend, the refund will take a little longer as it has to go through skiddle. Please inbox us and we will help you with it.

"The event will be exactly the same, with the same DJs and acts. Everyone who enters will be able to have unlimited drinks.

"We sincerely apologise for any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused. We hope to see everyone there. We promise we will make it up to all of you."
