FOLLOWING the recent death of Paul Flynn, MP for Newport West, a book of condolence is now open to the public at Newport Civic Centre.
Access will be available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday and will remain available until the day of his funeral.
Mr Flynn served the city first as a councillor for Newport Borough Council and later Gwent County Council before becoming constituency MP in June 1987.

Cllr Debbie Wilcox, leader of Newport City Council, paid tribute to Mr Flynn.
She said: "We are seeing the end of an era in Newport and Westminster. He was a fervent campaigner and someone who spoke his mind without fear or favour - a really independent thinker.
"Although he didn't hail from Newport he will always be regarded as a son of the city and one of its biggest supporters.”
In the Welsh Assembly, Jayne Bryant paid tribute to Mr Flynn, calling him "a wonderful friend and mentor to me personally."
