YOUR little ones can travel around the globe this half term – and they don’t even need a plane ticket!
Creative children and intrepid explorers are invited to Cwmbran Centre this half term, for a whole week of free craft workshops inspired by theworld.
Each workshop will be in Cwmbran Centre, Monmouth Walk, from 11am to 4pm, with a team of professional workshop captains commandeering each day.
All youngsters will be given a passport from the captains, with them stamped at each destination.
The fun kicks off on Monday, February 25, in the Land of Dreams, America. Known for its varsity sport culture, youngsters will get the chance to make their own flags or pom-poms.
On Tuesday, children can be inspired by the vibrant carnival culture of Brazil, for a colourful workshop.
Guests can make a headdress or animal mask to keep.
On Wednesday, the voyage takes young explorers to Sunny Spain.
Your little ones will be flamenco dancing away, with their own fans or clackers.
This world tour will then head back towards the equator, stopping in Africa on Thursday for a safari-themed workshop.
Children can make their own animal finger puppet to bring home.
This world tour’s last destination, on Friday, will be in Asia.
Although youngsters may struggle to use chopsticks, they’re perfect to make roar-some chopstick dragons.
Cwmbran Centre manager Rikki Teml said: “We are thrilled to announce that we will be offering free interactive fun for families this February half term.
“This is a new event at Cwmbran Centre, so we are excited to see people’s reactions and we hope that our customers are looking forward to it as much as we are.”
Cwmbran Centre will also offer free face painting daily.
