A BALLET company is launching a new performance, showcasing talented young dancers.

Ballet Cymru are thrilled to debut Ballet Cymru 2 – Made in Wales, which features dances from their pre-professional programme who are on the cusp of their professional dance careers.

The show will include performances in pieces created by Welsh choreographers specifically for the up-and-coming dancers.

These pieces will be choreographed by company dancer, Alex Hallas; top independent choreographer, Jack Philp; ex-dancer at Bern Ballet, Emma Lewies; ex-dancer at Zurich Ballet, Patricia Vallis; and Ballet Cymru Artistic Directors Darius James OBE and Amy Doughty.

Ballet Cymru 2 – Made in Wales will include an eclectic mix of pieces, ranging from the classical to cutting edge innovative dance.

Ballet Cymru’s pre-professional programme is a highly practical course which provides a rigorous combination of training in classical ballet technique, repertoire, contemporary, Pilates, choreography, and more.

Ballet Cymru 2 – Made in Wales will be performed at Riverfront Theatre, Newport, on March 19 from 7.30pm.
