LONELINESS happens to us all from time to time, often striking people as they get older, because often ageing goes hand-in-hand with loss.
In order to combat social isolation the Rotary Club of St Woolos Newport have set up the CUPPA project, in conjunction with Newport Live.
They are inviting people to join together for a hot drink and a chat on a regular basis, at The Riverfront Theatre's Café every Tuesday, anytime between 10am and 1pm.
Tomorrow they will be joined by an ex-Newport Museum employee who will bring along a portfolio of ‘old’ Newport photographs and another guest with a wealth of knowledge of wild birds.
The CUPPA sessions are informal and people are welcome to pop in for just a few minutes or for longer if they wish.
