THE WORLD’s most famous ‘bagrock’ band are stopping in the capital city on their latest tour.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be rocking out playing classic hits from Coldplay, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Avici, Queen and much more, with a unique twist: they’re performed on the bagpipes.

Formed in 2002, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have gone from making a cameo appearance at T in the Park (2004) with The Darkness to opening the main stage in 2014.

The show will be jam-packed with bagpipes, drums, attitude and the Scottish accents, with the rockstars fusing traditional Scottish music with rock and pop anthems.

Last months the Pipers and Tom Walker released a new version of his massive hit Leave a Light On, in aid of music therapy charity Nordoff Robins, which went straight into iTunes top five.

The collaboration came about after Tom performed with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at Murrayfield Rugby Stadium before the Scotland v Italy Six Nations match.

Ahead of the release of their new studio album, Fresh Air, in June Red Hot Chilli Pipers are touring the UK with one Welsh date lined up.

They will rock out at The Tramshed in Cardiff on Saturday, May 18, at a gig suitable for those aged 14+.

Doors for this leg of the band’s Fresh Air world tour open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start with thrilling music until 11pm.

Tickets are £28.30 through eventbrite.com/e/red-hot-chilli-pipers-tickets-53253120517
