HEAVY traffic on the M4 eastbound carriageway is causing long delays.
There are severe tailbacks from Junction 29 A48(M) throughout the Newport junctions to Junction 24 A449 (Coldra).
The AA are reporting "severe delays of 24 minutes and delays increasing on M4 Eastbound between J30 A4232 Pentwyn Link Road (Cardiff Gate) and J25A A4042 (Caerleon).
"Average speed 15 mph."

These delays are also causing tailbacks on to the A48 (M).
These delays are only adding to the usual morning traffic on the southbound A467 Forge Road and High Cross Road.
