MORE than 24,000 people in Gwent have signed a petition calling for Article 50 to be revoked.
The online petition, the most popular ever submitted to the Parliament petitions website, has now been signed by more than 5.5 million people - and counting.
Of these, 7,983 are from Monmouth, 4,373 from Caerphilly, and 3,862 from Newport East.

Meanwhile, 3,348 of the signatories identified their location as Torfaen, 2,929 said they were from Islwyn and 1,993 are from Blaenau Gwent.
Figures for Newport West - where a by-election is in process - are unavailable.
Monmouth was the only local authority area of Gwent which voted to remain in 2016, while Caerphilly, Newport, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent all voted to leave.
As it has received more than 100,00 signatures the petition must now be debated in Parliament.
