Stanley Road in Abersychan closed by 'police incident'

The Argus understands the road is closed after a cash point was reportedly stolen in an early-morning ram raid on the Co-op convenience store.

The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of this morning.

AN ONGOING "police incident" has closed a road in both direction this morning.

Stanley Road, in Abersychan, Torfaen, has been closed in both directions since 7.30am, according to traffic monitors.

Gwent Police have been contacted about the situation, and we will update this story as soon as we have any more information.

The road is closed in both directions from Top Road to Eridge Road. Traffic is said to be coping well.
