DETECTIVES are appealing for information to help find a man they want to speak to after a serious assault in Newport just before Christmas.
Gwent Police want to talk to Gerrard McDonagh after reports of an attack on a man in the Chepstow Road area of the city which left him with serious injuries.
A force spokesperson said: "Officers believe he was in the area at the time and could help with our enquiries.
"The offence happened at approximately 9.20pm on Saturday, 22nd December 2018, outside the Sen BBQ premises.
"If you know the whereabouts of Gerrard or have any information about the incident, please call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 562 of 22/12/18, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. "You can also direct message us on Facebook or Twitter."
