The Great Roggie Bake Off will return for its fourth year, with people battling it out in a competition over the tasty treats they dish up.

This year, the Bake Off has a special celebrity judge: Jon Jenkins, from Malpas.

Although he didn’t win the 2018 TV series Great British Bake Off – being eliminated during week seven – he won hearts with his Hawaiian T-shirts and inventive creations.

If you would like to enter the Great Roggie Bake Off e-mail rogerstonepta@outlook.com to let them know.

This year will also mark the inaugural Great Roggie Doggie Show, giving guests the chance to show off their furry friends.

The competition will be judged by Sophie Skinner from Shampooches Dogs Groomers, with five categories:

• Most appealing eyes.

• Dog who looks most like owner (with optional fancy dress).

• Dog the judge would most like to take home.

You’d be barking mad to miss out!

To enter your dog, collect an application form from Shampooches Dog Groomers in Rogerstone or from Rogerstone Primary School.

You can also pick up an application form on the day.

The day will also include a raffle, with some amazing prizes up for grabs. A perfect day out for the family – organisers say feel free to bring a picnic and, of course, an appetite for cake.
