GWENT Police are appealing for information following an alleged sexual assault at a property in Abertillery in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A spokesman said: "On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, from approximately 2.15am to 2.45am, officers responded to a report of an alleged sexual assault at an address on Princess Street, Abertillery.

"Detectives are now investigating and are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen anything that could help with the investigation.

"If you were in the area of Princess Street around this time and saw anything suspicious or if anyone has any CCTV or Dash Cam footage for this area at the time of the incident, please contact us as you may hold vital information that could assist with enquiries.
