A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following an accident which left a road closed for more than an hour.
The crash took place on the B4235 between St Lawrence Road and the Itton turning at just after 10.30am this morning (Friday, April 12).
The road had been closed while emergency services attended, but it has since reopened.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: "At approximately 10.35am on Friday, April 12, 2019, we were called to a road traffic collision on the B4235 between Chepstow and Mynnydd-Bach.
"The collision involved a blue Mini Cooper S and a grey Yamaha motorcycle.
"The rider of the motorcycle suffered injuries to their wrists and has been taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life changing.
"The road re-opened around 12.10pm."
