A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "We were called to a road traffic collision on Merthyr Road between the Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate and the Bryn Bach area of Tredegar, at approximately 11.15am on Sunday April 14.
"Four cars were involved; two drivers were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"The road re-opened around 2.55pm."

A ROAD had been closed due to a traffic accident.
Gwent Police are currently dealing with a crash on Merthyr Road between the A4048 and Tafarnaubach industrial estate.
As they complete their enquiries the road will be closed, with drivers recommended to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Police have been contacted for comment.
