A TEDDY Bear’s Picnic will aid a great cause this month.

The fun-filled family day, taking place at Pill Millennium Centre in Newport on April 28, will include a disco, bouncy castle, games, crafts, face painting and – of course – a picnic.

From 11am to 3pm, children will also be treated to guest appearances by some of their favourite characters including the LOL dolls and Paw Patrol.

All money raised from the event will to supporting the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales, which receives around 24,000 admissions from the area covered by Aneurin Bevan Health Board each year.

Linda Davies, from the Noah’s Ark Charity, said: “We’ve been holding Teddy Bears’ Picnics in Cardiff for a few years now. They’re always a sell out and we thought why not extend it to Newport?

South Wales Argus:

"The hospital treats thousands of children from in and around Newport every year so it’s an opportunity for families to have a great day out together while also helping other families from their own community.

“We’ll have something to entertain everyone on the day, from a kids disco and spot prizes to arts and crafts. We’ll also have some lovely stalls and the wonderful Newport based business Characters N Co will be there to provide the guest appearances from Paw Patrol and the LOL Dolls.

"It’s a great thing to do if you’re looking for something to entertain the kids over the Easter holiday so grab your favourite teddy bear and come along.”
