A SINGER and songwriter from Abergavenny will launch her self-penned album next month.
Frankie Wesson, who has been writing and performing since she was 16, performs an eclectic mix of pop, rock, folk and acoustic music, with original songs drawn from personal experience in life, love and growing up.
Ms Wesson’s songs have featured on BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing Wales as well as several local radio stations.
Recent live performances include: Monmouth Festival; The Light Gets in, London and Hay on Wye; Welshfest, Cardiff; and The Globe @ Hay, supporting singer-songwriters Mica Jane earlier this year and Hattie Briggs in 2018.
Ms Wesson’s latest album, Still Got Time, will be launched in her hometown on Friday May 3.
Still Got Time was recorded at AR Studios in Herefordshire with local guitarist and musician, Reuben F Tourettes, lending his talents to the musical arrangements.

Three singles from the album have been released, met with positive reception. Alone has been played on Dean Radio and Chat and Spin Radio.
The second single released was the titular track Still Got Time, which was released with a music video filmed in and around Abergavenny, Monmouth, Symonds Yat and Penarth. The song has been described as ‘anthemically magnetic pop rock’ in a review by A&R Factory.
Reasons, which has an electro-pop sound, has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and Chilled Pop Hits playlists gaining her more than 16,000 streams since its release on March 15.
The launch party will be at Abergavenny Labour Hall, from 7pm, on May 3 with albums on sale and a live performance by Ms Wesson. She will be supported by all female folk rock band, Tarion, and acoustic duo Puffer. Entry is free.
