A COMMUNITY group have had a boost from a business being the latest to join them on their campaign to help the homeless.

Pride in Pill, which already has a well-known reputation for their litter picking projects, are also aiming to help the vulnerable people living on the streets of Newport with help from local organisations,

Le Pub, based on High Street, are the latest addition to the team and are allowing the venue to be used as a drop-off centre for donations for the homeless.

They join eight restaurants which are giving away free meals every week to aid Pride in Pill on their mission.

The restaurants involved are: Golden Peri Peri on Commercial Street, Falafilo Restaurant on High Street, Le Rah Indian Cuisine on Commercial Street, Lilo Grill House on Cardiff Road, New Lahore on Lower Dock Street, Yummies on Upper Dock Street, USA Chicken on Skinner Street, and Nipa Hut on Commercial Street.

According to Pride in Pill founder, Paul Murphy, the group are giving out more than 30 meal tickets to those in need every Sunday.
