BUSINESSES and councillors across Gwent have been showing their support for the Marrow for Marley campaign.

Their support is shown by displaying our poster for the swab event we at the South Wales Argus are hosting in conjunction with Marrow for Marley on Saturday April 20 at the Riverside Suite, Newport Centre between 10am and 4pm.

Monmouthshire County Council, Newport City Council and Newport West AM Jayne Bryant have led the way by posing with our poster.

Businesses throughout the Gwent region have also shown their support, displaying posters at their premises.

The South Wales Argus would like to thank our Innovative Business of the Year 2018 winners Cintec International, Parade Design, Hutchings & Thomas Chartered Surveyors (and Haydn Thomas’ dog Willow) and others in the Estates Office in Gold Tops, Flying Tiger Copenhagen in Friars Walk and Petersens PR.

Associated British Ports has distributed the posters across its five ports in Wales, including in Newport, while as the Argus previously reported, Newport Transport has displayed posters on all its 100 buses.

C.O.B.R.A Music, County Industrial Supplies in Pontnewydd, La Vida Travel, Select Security Services and UskVale Financial Planning all receive our thanks.

Bailey Care Services in Bridge Street proudly displayed their poster in between two Marrow for Marley online posters, while Celtic Vapours, Hetty’s Boutique and Horton’s Coffee Shop have put theirs in pride of place.

Drinks Express, Black Cherry Tattoo Studio, Beam Sports and Schoolwear, Harbour Fish Bar and Sin City Comics also have copies. Hounds Barber’s in Bridge Street displayed their poster in a unique way, positioned on the piano facing the door as customers walk in.

A final thank you goes to Risca Workingmens and Top clubs, Aldi’s in Risca, Risca’s Wellspring Medical Centre and TT Electronics factory in Rogerstone for their support in placing the posters.

Could you be Marley’s miracle? We urge you to come down to the Riverside Suite, Newport Centre this Saturday 20 April between 10am and 4pm to complete a quick and painless mouth swab and a simple form, to register you onto the bone marrow donor list and you could save Marley’s life.
