Our beautiful Dog of the Week is Winnie Munchkin!
Winnie arrived at Newport City Dogs Home as a stray, and although her pictures have been shared far and wide on social media, sadly no one has come forward to claim her.
Winnie is now looking for a loving forever home. She is an adorable border terrier mix, only about a year old, and Winnie absolutely adores children! She is a little nervous of new people, but from the moment she arrived at the centre she very quickly befriended young volunteer Molly, and follows her around everywhere. Winnie has become Molly's shadow, and her bottom wiggles with delight whenever she sees her young friend.
Winnie is easily startled, and she would like to live in a gentle and calm household with someone around most of the time. She has been introduced to some of her kennel buddies, and likes to potter around with her quieter, gentler kennel friends, but she gets a big anxious if the play gets too rough and tumble.
If you'd like to meet Winnie please contact the staff at the centre on 01633 290902 or pop in. No appointment needed!
