WALES has recorded its warmest Easter Monday on record, the Met Office has said.

The Met Office said a high of 23.5C in Wales, with temperatures in Gwent reaching 22C.

Record Easter Monday temperatures were recorded in all four of the UK nations, with top temperatures in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland reaching 25C, 23.6C and 21.4C respectively.

It comes after Wales enjoyed its warmest Easter Sunday on record, the Met Office said.
