A CAERPHILY county borough woman has taken it upon herself to organise a walk in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

Victoria Isaac, of Bedwas, has arranged to host the walk at Mountain View Ranch, in Caerphilly, on May 26.

The cause is something close to Miss Isaac’s heart as she saw her grandfather Robert Prosser deteriorate from a happy, loving and popular policeman over the 22 years that he had the disease before his passing in November 2017.

Miss Isaac said that following her grandfather’s passing, something clicked, and she realised that the general public were not aware of the disease or the work that Parkinson’s UK do.

She hopes that with continued research, funded by fundraisers like herself, Parkinson’s UK would be able to find a cure and stop the heartbreak that she and her family suffered.

Miss Isaac’s walk will be held on Sunday May 26 at Mountain View Ranch in Caerphilly. It is a two-mile walk and will start at 9am prompt. For this, Miss Isaacs asks that participants arrive by 8:45am. If you are interested in participating in the walk, you need to email visaac10@yahoo.co.uk by May 22 at the latest and there is a £5 charge that will go directly to Parkinson’s UK.
