Pill Carnival is on the search for 2019’s queen and court.
Auditions for the court and the top job will be taking place at Pill Harriers RFC on Sunday, June 30 at 2.30pm.
Young ladies who live in Newport and are aged between five and 16 are urged to sign up to the audition.
Entering is free and the queen will win £50, the runner up (her attendant) will win £25 and the rest will have a trophy and a goody bag.

In total, 12 girls will be selected. There will be five flower girls, five court ladies, an attendant and the coveted carnival queen.
To enter, call Ann Barton of A B Florist in Newport on 01633259249 as soon as possible and a form will need to be filled in.
The coveted Pill Carnival procession will be on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.
