UPDATE 8.29am: Traffic is currently very slow on Nash Road, Lliswerry, Newport,in the direction of the roundabout on the A48 Southern Distributor Road.
There is also congestion approaching this roundabout on the SDR westbound, and that for Newport Retail Park.
It's been a quiet start on the area's roads this morning, with traffic on the M4 currently running smoothly.
Traffic on the A467 Forge Road is currently described as 'heavy', though the queues appear shorter than usual for a weekday, and are concentrated southbound around the Tredegar Park and Bassaleg roundabouts.
