A COLLISION, involving multiple vehicles, took place in Newport in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened on Malpas Road at around 2am today.
Emergency services are pictured (above) at the scene.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "At approximately 1.55am on Sunday, July 7, we received reports of a road traffic collision near the Shell garage in Malpas Road, Newport.
"A Ford Focus had collided with a parked vehicle, which then struck three other parked vehicles.
"The female driver was freed from her car by the fire service, before being taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital for treatment of minor injuries."

A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire Service said: "At approximately 2.10am on July 7 we received reports of a four vehicle road traffic collision on Malpas Road, Newport.
"Crews attended the scene and one person was extricated from a vehicle and received care from paramedics, the other vehicles were not occupied."

A spokesman for Welsh Ambulance confirmed: "We were called on Sunday July 7 at approximately 1.57am to reports of a road traffic accident involving a vehicle having hit other parked vehicles in Newport.
"We responded with one rapid response vehicle and two ambulances. One patient was transported by road ambulance to Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport."
