A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

TERRY FITZPATRICK KENTON, 50, of Humber Road, Bettws, Newport, was conditionally discharged for 18 months after he admitted the theft of £250 from his victim at a cashpoint on Bassaleg Road.

He must pay back £250 in compensation and he was ordered to hand over £85 in costs and a £21 surcharge.

NICHOLAS CHARLES RALLEY-STAGG, 22, of Churchward Drive, Newport, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drink-driving.

He must also pay a fine of £237, costs, and a surcharge.

EMILY JADE STONEMAN, 19, of Woodland Walk, Blaina, was banned from driving for 17 months after she admitted drink-driving.

She must also pay a £392 fine, costs, and a surcharge.

LUKE THOMAS BROOKS, 28, of Rother Avenue, Abergavenny, was banned from driving for 20 months after he admitted drug-driving with cannabis derivative Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.

He must also pay a £237 fine, costsm and a surcharge.

DARJEN THULASIDHAS, 30, of Kingswood Close, Hengoed, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

He was fined £393, and must also pay costs and a surcharge.

KALUMB ANNETTS, 24, of Cemetery Road, Aberbeeg, Abertillery, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted the theft of £40.

He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay compensation, costs and a surcharge totalling £210.

ANDREW DEAN PRICE, 54, of Oakdale Place, Pontnewynydd, Pontypool, was ordered to pay £811 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted driving with no insurance.

His licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
