I NEED to provide you with the latest coronavirus advice based on what we are hearing from the government and partner agencies.
This is a developing picture which is changing all the time.
I can assure you that we continue to deliver core services in Monmouthshire to support people through this difficult time.

We have robust contingency planning in place and we are reviewing the situation on a daily basis.
Please do take the advice of Public Health Wales.
Please do stay at home for 14 days if you, or anyone in your household has either a high temperature or a ‘new and continuous cough’.
Current advice is that schools should continue to remain open for the time being.
We will continue to follow governmental advice in this regard.
We know that this is a worrying time for everyone but there is no shortage of food.
There’s no need for panic buying.
We mustn't be selfish and now is a time when we all need to pull together.
This is all about people, not a shortage of products.
Please do think about your community.
Loads of community Facebook groups are popping up – you have a role to play in your community to look after your neighbours.
Helping people with their shopping or giving them a call to check how they’re doing will really help their wellbeing.
Wales Council for Voluntary Action (wcav.cymru) are currently developing some guidance for community groups to refer to for information.
In times of need it’s more important than ever to protect yourself, your family and your community.
