A NEWPORT man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a fire at his home.
Paul Raymond Whiting, 64, of Christchurch Road, appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court on Saturday, March 28.
He had been arrested by Gwent Police following the incident on Thursday, March 26.
Mr Whiting was remanded into custody and will appear next at Newport Crown Court on Monday, May 11.
