A FURTHER seven people have died from COVID-19 in Bradford district, the NHS has revealed.
This brings the district's death toll up to 23 with a total of 118 cases of coronavirus across Bradford.
All families of the victims have been informed.
Latest figures on COVID-19 patients in Bradford hospitals from NHS England, up to date on April 2, 2020:
Total number tested positive to date – 97
Total number tested negative to date – 568
Confirmed COVID-19 inpatients currently at Bradford Royal Infirmary – 42
Confirmed COVID-19 patients currently in ICU – 4
Total COVID-19 deaths – 14
Regionally the NHS England figures show that two people have died in Calderdale and Huddersfield's hospitals.
These are believed to be the first deaths in the area.
Meanwhile in Leeds, a further three people have died.
Across the UK, a further 561 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, meaning the national figures for reported deaths now stands at 2,698 people.
Patients were aged between 22 and 100 years old.
44 of the 561 patients had no known underlying health condition.
