RISCA'S former library is to become a youth club and adult education centre.
Once the town's library has moved to the former Palace Cinema, in late 2008 or early 2009, the Brooklands Road site will be empty.
Caerphilly council plans to sell demolish the old gym, youth club and area housing office on the Brooklands site and sell it off for housing in late 2009.
The library building will be retained for use as a youth club and adult education centre.
The demolition of the old buildings and refurbishment of the old library will cost around £400,000.
