AN Abergavenny rock band has eased its musical lockdown by releasing a new single that had been originally due out earlier in the spring.
Sweet Ignition released their latest single Hook to give fans something to enjoy during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The explosive track has been a favourite in the band's set for a while - with fans loving the call-and-response lyrics and pounding basslines.

The pandemic had put a stop to original plans for shows surrounding and celebrating the release - but the band instead filmed a video to give fans a little extra ahead of a hoped for return to playing live.
The video was shot by the band and their fans at a pre-lockdown benefit gig ‘Rock the Clean-up’ in Crickhowell for the South Wales flood victims.
Hook is Sweet Ignitions’ fifth single since they formed in 2017, since when they have received airplay on BBC Radio Wales, Kerrang! Radio, and Sirius XM over in America.
Sweet Ignitions have performed a range of shows across South Wales and the South West, including Ffli Stock, support slots with The Virginmarys, The Caspiens, Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell and a sold-out support slot at South Wales rock favourities Pretty Vicious’ farewell show in Cardiff last January.
