RESIDENTS are being urged to not be 'fooled' after reports of a scam in Wrexham.
Officers of the Eastern Community Safety team confirmed they have received reports of a bogus caller in Tabor Hill who claimed to be from the Water Board.
A spokesman said: "Bogus caller saying he was from the Water Board yesterday at 11am in Tabor Hill, Coedpoeth.
"In his 50s, 6ft tall, tanned skin, dark hair.
"Don't be fooled. Always ask for ID and phone the utility company to check any ID that is shown.
"This was a criminal."
