UPDATE 1.59pm: The incident has been dealt with and all lanes westbound into Wales over the M48 Severn Bridge are now open.
A LANE is closed on the Severn Bridge (M48) due to a police incident.
Traffic is coping well, but the outside is closed heading towards Wales.
