A RECENT study by a building society has found the majority of British people will be holidaying at home in 2021.

Cumberland Building Society released a report that reveals what British people are planning for their future holidays.

The report found 83 per cent of Brits would prefer to holiday in the UK than travel abroad this year, and 68 per cent of them cited fears of being stranded abroad due to the virus.

55 per cent also admitted to concerns around quarantine measures.

All together at least 71 per cent of people are planning to holiday on home soil next year, and 39 per cent of people selected hotels as their preferred accommodation.

The report comes as the UK Government continues to add countries to its quarantine list, forcing holidaymakers to scramble home to avoid a 14 day isolation.
