POLICE officers are attending the scene of a crash on the A48 in Newport.
A section of the A48 Southern Distributor Road is currently closed, causing congestion and traffic delays in the area.

UPDATE 3PM: The latest traffic reports show congestion in the area has now cleared.

An eyewitness told the Argus the collision involved a car and a motorcycle.
Gwent Police said the eastbound side of the road is closed at the roundabout where KFC is located(leading to theLeeway Industrial Estate) in the direction towards Alway.
The westbound carriageway is currently open.
Traffic reports show congestion is building at the scene.
