SPECTACULAR photographs have won acclaim in a competition run by Pontypool Community Council.
The winners of the council's 2021 Spring/New Beginnings competition have been announced.
In first place was Leanne Hemburrow from Blaenavon, with Ewe and Lamb.

Craig Titchener from Garndiffaith came in second with his picture, Spring Landscape, which depicts a spectacular sunset.
And in third place was Jamie Preston from Cwmbran, with his photo Spring Crocus, showing some beautiful seasonal blooms.
A spokesman from the council said: "A total of 24 entries were received and the judges comments were: 'All entrants should be proud of their efforts as seeing such lovely photos made our decision very hard. Once again a well supported competition with a great diverse range of subjects'."
