GWENT Police is appealing for information following a serious assault in Rogerstone, Newport.

Detectives are investigating an assault which took place in Thornbury Park, Ebenezer Drive on March 7 at around 8.10pm.

A 27-year-old man from Newport was assaulted by two other men. He sustained serious injuries and received treatment in hospital. He has since been discharged.

A 44-year-old man from Cardiff was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are appealing for any motorist with dash-cam footage to get in touch as they may have captured footage of a dark-coloured car travelling in the area.

• Pye Corner, High Cross Road, Ebeneezer Drive or Western Avenue between 7.50pm – 8.15pm.

• Glasllwch Crescent between the Texaco garage and Western Avenue between 8pm – 8.10pm
