Two men have been charged after police seized around £125,000 worth of Class A drugs near Aberystwyth castle on Friday, May 14.

Police said it was the largest drugs seizure the force had ever made.

Michael James Price, aged 48, of South Road in Aberystwyth, was charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply.

While John James Rooney, aged 44, was charged with supplying heroin, acquiring, using or possessing criminal property, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Both men will remain in custody until they can appear at magistrates’ court.
