Thief stole charity box from Newport church
A THIEF stole a charity box from a Newport church.
Timothy Andrew Lewis, 50, admitted carrying out the theft at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
Newport Magistrates' Court heard how the defendant, of Stow Hill, committed the offence on April 28.
Lewis was ordered to pay £359 in compensation, costs, a fine and surcharge.
