A TEAM of charity champions will take on a fundraiser for a youngster with a life-limiting condition.

On June 12 at 9am members of Deeside Round Table will commence on a 'Millie and Mind Cycle Challenge' fundraiser at Morrisons in Connah's Quay.

One team will be on actual bikes and another team on static bikes which will be located at the Morrisons entrance.

With the aim of covering 160 miles, the road riders will commence from the supermarket in Connah's Quay and travel to to Chester and Saltney Morrisons stores and back again.

The static bikes will cover the rest of the miles.

The fundraiser is to be split between Millie Jones for a new hoist and MIND.

Young Millie, 16, has a life-limiting condition called Lissencephaly and the hoist will allow her to be moved around the house and help with her ongoing health, care and happiness.

The group also chose Mind, who provide advice and support to anyone experiencing mental health problems.

A spokesman said: "All of this ties in with this year's Deeside Round Table incentive of outside exercise and well-being.

"A special thanks to Morrisons and to Lifestyle fitness for providing the static bikes.

"We're super-pleased Millie will be making a special appearance too.

"We'd love to meet all you guys too. Why don't you pop along to chat, cheers us on and chuck some money in our buckets.

"If you can't get out to us then we have a dedicated donation link for this worthy cause. Thanks in advance for your ongoing support, Deeside.

"If everything goes to plan, we should be finished by 1pm tomorrow, by which point we'll be wheelie, wheelie tyred."
