As from the New Year and until Easter all Sunday morning services are to be held in the Town Hall and not in St. Nicholas church. The reason for this is that it is difficult to keep the church warm enough. The PCC has decided that it will be warmer in the Town Hall.
I believe the bell -ringers will still ring for the Sunday morning services - they will have to don extra clothes to keep warm! The other change is that on the third Sunday of each month there will be an All Age Service at 10.00am (and NOT at 11.am). This service will remain in the Town Hall even when the rest of the services move back into the church.
