Helpfully, Newport and Gwent is home to a fair few petrol stations, and while fuel is rarely described as cheap, some places in the area sell it for a lower price than others.

It means that you no longer have to drive around comparing forecourt prices – spending more searching for cheap petrol than you’d ultimately end up saving.

Below, you can find the least expensive petrol prices in the area, as of Friday, September 17.

Locally, Cwmbran is the place to go for the cheapest prices, with some stations here offering petrol for 127.9p per litre.

Some stations in Cardiff are also offering lower rates.

Monmouthshire appears to have the highest prices – but given the fuel cost of traveling to areas with cheaper prices, it doesn’t seem altogether worthwhile unless it was already a journey that was planned.
