A TEENAGE drug dealer was warned he can expect a “long sentence” after he pleaded guilty to heroin and crack cocaine trafficking offences.

Joshua Moore, 18, of Crouch Close, Bettws, Newport, admitted being concerned in the supply of the class A drugs between January 31 and August 1.

He also admitted possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Moore’s lawyer, Stuart John, said: “He has one previous conviction for an unrelated matter.

“Custody is inevitable and the defendant understands that.

“I would invite the court to consider a pre-sentence report which will assist in terms of the length of sentence, particularly with regard to his age.”

At Cardiff Crown Court, Judge Timothy Petts adjourned sentence until October 12.

He told the defendant: “These are very serious matters.

“It’s clearly going to be custody and it’s going to be a long sentence.

“That’s the consequence of your actions.”

Moore, who appeared in court via video link from Cardiff Prison, was remanded in custody.

The prosecution was represented by Byron Broadstock.
