A CAERLEON bridge will be completely closed to traffic until the end of the month.
Newport City Council is to temporarily ban all traffic from using the B4236 Caerleon River Bridge for its full length in both directions.
The closure is being put in place so that investigations and repairs can be carried out as necessary.
The alternative route will be via the B4236, M4 junction 25, A4042, Ponthir Road to Caerleon in both directions.
